S.L. Worth died Nov 12 aged 44 years at Kirkpatrick of typhoid fever, being confined to his bed less than two weeks. Funeral services were held at the ME Church Sunday, Nov 14 at 2 p.m. interment in family lot at Peterson’s cemetery at sunset. Services were conducted by Rev. John Stafford. The deceased leaves a widow and was the father of five children, two sons and three daughters, all grown except one son who preceded his father. Mr. Worth was widely known and was one of the most active and progressive farmers in Tippecanoe County. He was liberal all most to a fault to all religious work and there are few men in the community who will be missed more. To say that our brother had no faults wouldn’t be human. He served for four years as superintendent of the ME Sunday School at Kirkpatrick and had held many positions of trust. - kbz
